Lincoln Parties Welcome Luncheon/Potluck for the Zamani Family - Come Enjoy a Time of Fellowship and Encouragement and to Hear Their Story!
Event Details
Please join us in a potluck welcome luncheon for the Zamani family. This event is open to all individuals who assisted the family during their resettlement here in Lincoln - so, if you were one of the many that has been praying for them, has donated time, items, money, etc towards getting them settled and moved in, you are more than welcome to attend and we would love to see you there!
During this time volunteers will have an opportunity to share their experiences with the family, and the family will also be sharing the story of their escape from Afghanistan through their ultimate resettlement in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The potluck luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Faith Bible Church in Lincoln. We will need everyone to bring a dish to share with others - main dishes, soups, salads, and desserts are all needed. Water, naan (bread), and plates, napkins, and cutlery will be provided. Food should be brought no later than 11:15am (the room will be open starting at 11am). Parking in the south lot will be available, and you can enter via the south doors of the church.
***SPECIAL FOOD INFORMATION: PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL FOOD IS FREE OF ANY PORK AND/OR PORK PRODUCTS, INCLUDING GELATIN AND MARSHMALLOWS. Beef and chicken dishes are perfectly acceptable and neither the beef or chicken needs to be Halal.***
Please RSVP as soon as possible so that we can get an accurate headcount and plan accordingly for tables, seating, etc.
